Our specie has been designed to eat fruit and later on roots and crops. When we moved to northern areas of the glob we have been obliged to eat only meat or fish and some fruit during summer. When we started to build language communication patterns and religions, we gave animals a special function. They then have been considered as being sacred creatures and people used to see them as little gods. In more recent times, animals were thought to be blessed or protected by God. Nowadays animals are used as pets, food or for lab testing. Unhopefully, as the number of animal and human individuals increased, we both have remained with very little diversity in terms of races, ages and functions. We both indeed preserved only forms, shapes and colors that our current tastes and criteria do prefer. White or young and beautiful, working or giving work to others, individuals it is what we only have left. Wild animals are very few now. Most of them are kept in cages and used for recreational purposes or in so called scientific experiments. As for domesticated animals, they are mainly used as food. Maybe it is the excess of technology and of machinery that drives us into an abusive consumption of meat. For that reason law makers have recently decided to make new laws that protect animals and even biodiversity. Unhopefully, those laws are not fully respected because of prejudices and the importance of profit making. Modern medecine confirms that we humans can be in a much better shape than meat eaters and that we only have to change our taste criteria. This is not only a suggestion but also an obligation because our current criteria destroy many animal lives that very often are even submitted to what we call torture for high production purposes. In environmental terms the main reason why both animals and humans have been created was to fertilize the earth with different kind of bacteria, and in terms of religion in order to give to each soul the possibility to take different forms and functions after each reincarnation. Being alive since we left paradise means to have food too, but we went too far in our search for it. We only have to go back to our old nutritional and social habits so that life and its numerous kinds looks like paradise again.
